It really wouldn’t matter who developed them because if it was a socialist or communist who developed them, they would never have the ability to make them readily available or cheap enough to give to anyone but the elites

Communist mindset:

Solve world, hunger,

Tell no one
computers - developed for 30 years by the government. handed over for free to private sector when profitable
internet - the same

do you know what a principle of free markets is regarding risk and reward?

What Is a Free Market?

The free market is an economic system based on supply and demand with little or no government control

so if the government invests in internet and computers for 30 years each, then the govt should get some profits right, if you believe in markets...

So the government who doesn’t actually have any money, accept what it confiscates from citizens, takes their money and create something and wants to profit off it it, and then what do you get in return?

So explain to me how the government takes none of the risk, but gets all the reward?. It’s very easy to confiscate money from someone to invest in something and if it doesn’t work, you just take some more.

So in your mind confiscating money from people with no risk involved then investing it means the confiscator should get reward? You don’t get much reward when there’s no risk in the actual free market.

the govt (aka we the people) invested so we should get reward. why are you against the govt getting reward for its investment? do you want a poor govt?

I didn’t invest in anything, never was asked they just took it, that’s quite a bit different than investing. I don’t recall Apple, taking money out of my paycheck and investing it without my consent. I was unaware it’s the governments job to invest. I thought it was to protect us, and to provide basic services.

The account rep. I talk to today said we are not losing Target, but we are losing some of the volume sometime this summer. Fear of Work stoppage related possibly? I don’t know.
