On mobile, too lazy to link, but 47000+ are getting 7,000+ profit sharing checks
It was between 8 and 10. Can't remember off the top of my head at the moment.Didn't Ford employees get just under $10 000 a few weeks ago?

I'm sure the 20000 people laid off will be glad to hear their not getting a check.

I think it's "they're" not "their" just an semi-educated former driver.....![]()
And how many did this company force..errr offer buyouts to last year??I'm sure the 20000 people laid off will be glad to hear their not getting a check.
So? Those bonus checks of 7K to 10K are pretty impressive. The working world needs to see more of this.Didn't GM and the UAW agree to a two-tiered wage system as part of their restructuring?
Yet GM is one of the big companies that isn't paying a dime in taxes for last year according to MSN
Would you rather have $10/hr now or the possibility of $7-10K later?
My guess is they would take either, but it is besides the point.
No, it really is the point. It's the company packaging the deal. Think of it like people excited to get an income tax rebate. Yeah, they love getting that check, but all they really did was let the government earn interest on it.My guess is they would take either, but it is besides the point.

Yes, they did. New UAW workers start at about half what the senior people make.
We also have a two-tier system at FedEx, but no contract and no bonuses. Ford workers will get an average $8,800 bonus.
Ford didn't take the bailout.
