This Madera guy is absolutely right. According to UPS and State Laws you can not park your package in fire lanes, no parking zones, handicap, etc. What if one of your children were injured in the store and a UPS package car was blocking close access to treat them. And all this so your sup. won't harrass you. If you are hit by another vehicle while your car is illegally parked, UPS will charge you with an avoidable accident. Wake up people!
I've got a news flash for you; If we get hit by another vehicle, UPS will "charge" us with an "avoidable" accident
no matter how or where we were parked. Legal, illegal, safe, unsafe.... it doesnt matter any more, so there isnt any point in worrying about it.
I get what you are saying about illegal parking, but I must point out that the
intent of most parking rules is to prevent
unattended vehicles from being a safety hazard. There is a
big difference between "illegally" parking in order to spend 45 seconds in the store delivering a package vs. illegally parking in order to spend an hour in the store shopping for clothes.
