We're doing Rome on our trip next year. You doing a tour, or on your own?

Are you going to be driving in Rome? They drive CRAZY! I was surprised at how much graffiti was there. I guess it makes sense since it’s a big city and so old, it just surprised me.

Best way to do it! Bring lots of money! I was there in 2006 and a can of Coke was $5. Lol.

That's where I could spend all my time. Unfortunately, the tour we're on (friends picked it) has to go to everything. Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, etc.

You’ll love it all. We went to those places too, and the Pantheon in Rome. We also went to Florence and Tivoli. My oldest was in the school choir then and they were invited to sing at the Vatican. The whole experience was amazing. I could easily live there.

Not sure yet. I’ve been putting the finishing touches on the itinerary this week. Rome is all I have left to finish. If the tours ACTUALLY bypass the lines then I’ll sign up. I’ve learned (through TripAdvisor reviews) that that’s not always the case.

I guess I’m spoiled because graffiti doesn’t last long where I live. It’s soon painted over.
