Extreme heat inside UPS vehicles is oppressive. UPS will not get away with this oppressive treatment forever.

Another reason the thread should remain open is the OP refused to offer any solutions to the alleged heat problem?
He thinks UPS should put A/C in all vehicles as well as providing water coolers with iced water in each vehicle and monitoring the water intake of each driver…aka playing Mommy to thousands and thousands of adults.

people have to be very deficient to expect ups to provide water to them....bring your own water.........ups is dumb to hand out water.........never should have begun doing it.......

This A/C and Heating issue can be resolved under this old contract...Most of the solutions really comes down to Common Sense.

I suspect that this issue will be a Trojan Horse in order to bypass the real issues that affect our members.

Like pension and health and welfare equity.

The starting wage increase is a give me, the company is already paying over 20 dollars an hour in certain regions.

These 22.4 positions could be kept if the Company did not make them run a 10 to 12 route, most of us were told that they would work 4 hours in the road and the other 4 hours inside.. that never happened the Company decided to save a lot of money by these hiring off the street 22.4’s who start out at 22 an hour, locked into that 4 year progression (No GWI or COLA increases) they just basically became minor league RPCD ‘s making about half what a regular driver makes.
