eyewear/contacts question

Anyone here know if contact lenses are covered under the teamster health plan? A woman I work with at my other job says some insurances may cover contacts even though they're used for cosmetic purposes unlike glasses.

I'm sure some plans are different but for my wife it either covers contacts or glasses. Not both.

Covered under Vision Service Plan.

Some plans you have to choose how you want to spend the coverage, either glasses or contacts. I wore contacts for 20ish years, 10+ covered by UPS plans.

Yes, you get an certain amount and anything over that is your problem. Usually covers a set of contacts for me or glasses. I alternate each year as to which one I get, forgot to get either last year.
