I can actually see economic variables, such as cost of living, justifying wages and pensions to be addressed in certain supplements instead of the Master.

....but the rest of your list would be a great starting point @just chillin' .
Maybe only a couple regions in 2 or 3 states should have higher wages.

The contract just says you have to given them an hours notice that you won’t be in ;)

You should have just clicked with no reason lol

Where exactly is that contained in "the contract"???

It's in "my" supplement but it also says because of sickness or disability. So here we usually say sick.

Me I always say "This is 542. I'm unable to work today. I'm using a sick day today."

Atlantic Area supplement:

The employee shall see that the Company is notified of his inability to
report for work as far in advance of his starting time as
possible (at least one (1) hour) on his first day of absence. The
employee shall determine from the Company how frequently he shall
call the Company to report his progress. The employee will notify the
Company when he is able to return to work. If an employee reports
for work without having so advised the Company, the Company shall
be relieved of the obligation for that day of the call-in guarantee and
eight (8) hour guarantee provided for in this Agreement.

Rest in peace wooba
Booo..... but what about pension?
i was gonna add that as well as health and welfare which sorta goes hand in hand with the pension as far as negotiated monies, but with the huge variations in health cost from one area of the country to another, that wont work out in individual employees best interest IMHO
