Whatever was his fate.... let the man RIP.

He did more for the labor movement, than you and I combined.

Too bad we can't say the same about his son!

Aside from listening to (potential) candidates trying to move up....

Have you ever talked with him ?

He's the Pete Rose of the labor movement....and there is no better analogy.

Think about it and tell me how it doesn't fit???

    This observation confuses me.

How would you contrast/compare the 2 individuals to arrive at that conclusion ?

Doesn't the "true" trade Unionist.... abhor.... insulting the legacy of James R. Hoffa ?

I doubt that, more likely you are just being aloof.
    Easily.

    1. Both men were at the top of their games, at a legendary level while in their prime.

    2. Both men were ultimately banned from their perspective professions and organizations.

    3. Both men spent time in prison, then when released, obsessed over reinstatement, while never achieving their objectives.

Only those who can't see it for what it was...and still is.

Two words for you "consent decree".

    That's an interesting observation.

5 months for tax evasion vs. 4 years for jury-tampering, mail fraud, and bribery ?

I can see the parallel.... but, it's kind of loose.

I admired Pete Rose for his athleticism, to a sport he dominated.

I respect James R. Hoffa, for his dedication towards the common working man.
