I'm working. The funny part here is that the Day After Thanksgiving has been a working holiday for almost 10 years and people still ask "Do we have to work?"
We even have a group that goes around telling people they don't have to show up. SMH.
Double time here plus 8 hours of holiday pay so essentially triple time for the first 8 hours. I have 9 diad trainings I will be completing at the end of my shift
Time and a half here, plus 8 hours holiday.
We always get screwed. Time for Sean to bring us up to where everyone else is.
And this is his local, Local 25....

My run goes out Tuesday 0230 and comes back Sat 0800. We will be getting 2500 miles of double pay as well as any hourly work paid double during the two holiday days. Plus 18 hours of holiday pay of course.
This will be my first day in 31 years of working at UPS that I will not be with my family for Thanksgiving. Kind of sucks but as my wife said, it’s not like we do anything anyway. Just go to my SILs and eat and do nothing else. Except I usually take a nap on the couch so I can go in before before midnight to get the holiday pay.

But you don’t HAVE to go in. It’s clearly a contractual paid holiday.
Before I went to feeders they would always say, see ya Friday and I would say, no you won’t. They’d threaten with discipline up to and including discharge. I wouldn’t come in and then come Monday never hear anything about it.
