Not a gag Ricky. Maunder was a scientist who determined when the sun goes through a period with no sunspot activity temperatures on Earth decrease. The Little Ice Age period is known as the Maunder Minimum. Quite a lot of info on the 'net now about current sunspot activity. It got so cold back then the Thames River in London froze solid. Which never happens. They were holding events on it.
