How, our are police and military not made up of the people? Do they not have the duty to bear arms or act on behalf of the American people’s will?
They are merely a subset of a set in mathematical terms. As Americans, police and military had the right before they moved into their professions. Their profession did not grant the right.
Their duty comes from their professions.

Really because I see them as a well regulated militia of the people bearing arms and having the duty to insure the freedom of the state.

The Supreme Court already ruled the 2nd Amendment (like all the others) conveys an individual right.
The surpreme court in 1857 also ruled black men slave or not could never be citizens of the United States.

According to the Court, the drafters of the Constitution had viewed all African-Americans as "beings of an inferior order, and altogether unfit to associate with the white race, either in social or political relations, and so far inferior that they had no rights which the white man was bound to respect."

And they got that wrong like many other things. It's called the Dred Scott decision. This is a road (Supreme Court Decisions) you don't want to go down.

I wasn’t the one starting that can of worms just saying Supreme Court rulings are not always a good interpretation of the constitution and the bad ones shouldn’t stop the progress of society.

A partial list over the last 10 years...

Westside Middle School, Jonesboro AR 3/24/98----5 students killed in a "gun-free zone"

Thurston High School, Eugene OR (my hometown) 5/20/98---2 dead and 25 wounded in a "gun-free zone"

Columbine High School, Littleton CO 5/20/99---15 dead and 22 wounded in a "gun-free zone"

Red Lake HS, Red Lake MN 3/21/05--8 dead in a "gun-free zone"

Amish school, Nickel Mines PA 10/02/06---6 dead in a "gun-free zone"

Virginia Tech, Blacksburg VA 4/16/07---33 dead and 25 wounded in a "gun-free zone"

North Illinois U, DeKalb ILL 2/14/08---6 dead and 18 wounded in a "gun-free zone"

In the last 10 years, over 120 unarmed people have been murdered in posted, designated "gun-free zones" all over the country.

How many more innocent, unarmed victims will be slaughtered at the altar of political correctness? How many more must die so that we can preserve the pathetic fantasy of the "gun-free zone" in the minds of people who think that safety from violence is as simple as posting a "no guns allowed" sign on a wall?

In the real world...murderers seek out places where they know their victims will be unarmed. That is why you dont see mass murders at gun shows.

Because, it is enumerated in the bill of rights ?

Understand the right.... of self preservation.

It's a natural human right.

Why should another human being, have the ability to impose their will upon me ?
Why I support pro-choice.

Dems learn it's harder to buy guns illegally online than they thought .

An undercover investigation ordered by liberals in Congress who wanted to pull back the curtain on how easy it is to buy a weapon illegally on the web has ended up with a stunning conclusion: Gun sellers won’t go along with the deals.

Maryland Congressman Elijah Cummings and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren demanded the probe in the aftermath of mass shootings and the investigative arm of Congress, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), conducted a lengthy covert operation to try to purchase firearms illegally from Internet dealers.

“Of the 72 attempts agents made to purchase firearms on the Surface Web, 56 sellers refused to complete a transaction. 29 sellers stated they would not ship a firearm and 27 refused after the disclosure of the undercover identities’ stated prohibited status. Furthermore, in 5 of these 72 attempts, the accounts GAO set up were frozen by the websites, which prevented the agents from using the forums and attempting to make a purchase.”
