Bevin signed Senate Bill 150 into law, making Kentucky the 16th state to eliminate any requirement that law-abiding citizens get government documentation before exercising their right to bear arms for self-defense.

The other 15 states that have eliminated their permit requirement are Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming, and Vermont.

I'm not aware of Georgia requiring any such permit and I buy a new gun/pistol almost every year.

No permit for carry.
Conceal carry ... Yes Georgia has those and I have one.

One does not have to have a conceal carry license to exercise their right to bear arms for self-defense.

Not disagreeing with fundamental principle but right to keep and bear arms has been equated with keep being possession and bear being carry in regulatory environment, which is where I'm sure Baba got the term from.

Regulated meant something different in the 1700's when the Constitution was written. It meant trained and in good working order then. Not about laws controlling it.

Here's an interesting article.

Jeremy Stein, executive director of Connecticut Against Gun Violence, was escorted out of the state legislative office building for smuggling in an 80 percent lower firearm receiver. What Stein did was to bring into a state government building that doesn’t allow firearms a piece of machined metal that’s not considered a firearm to try to convince people he was technically breaking the law since the lower receiver is intended to eventually become a firearm. He was also conspiring with the police chief of the state’s largest city to pull off the stunt.
