This thread is ridiculous.
I cannot believe that there are people actually defending this kid. He's not 8 years old - he's a young adult, and he clearly knows better.
He was a potential Harvard student, for
's sake, which clearly suggests he's basically brilliant.
Don't pretend he didn't have an understanding that being racist on social media is unacceptable. He was showing his true colors, and he found out the hard way that Harvard doesn't play when it comes to diversity and racism, nor should they have to, when they're as choosy as they are.
This isn't State U, who takes every kid with a 900 sat...Harvard has a policy of taking only the best, and this kid DQ'd himself from that discussion when he
ed up publicly, regardless of whether he has a good high school transcript and test scores. There's probably 5000 other applicants who have as good, or close to as good a resume as he does, so why take this kid after what happened?
