What they do? Are they also in a hub?
It started in 2011 as a reorganization at the Corporate level of all non-operational aspects of the UPS to increase efficiencies and reduce cost by eliminating redundant Shared Services.
The GBS function was established in September 2011.
It includes Information Services (I.S.), Customer Service Centers, Corporate and I.S. Procurement and the consolidated transactional work in Finance & Accounting and Human Resources.
I work in GBS. They're not in a hub, there are locations all over the country.
Like Hoaxster said it includes IS, Customer Service, and a lot of finance/accounting. I work in one of the buildings that does small package collections work for the bigger customers.
