It’s airborne so washing your hands literally does nothing and you’re an idiot if you’re going around touching a bunch of stuff and then touching your face.
No amount of hand sanitizer is going to
stop the virus(which is extremely contagious) from entering your mouth, nose, eyes, or ear holes. Only way to fight the virus is to proper protective equipment or stay at home away from others.
Tax free would be a better way to go.
What hazard? If you are in any of the high risk groups, I doubt you are working at UPS.
Smokers/vapors, you are on your own. You did it to yourself, good luck.
Here come the weirdos again... of course we should get hazard pay or some kind of bonus, we’re putting ourselves in danger of getting the virus and infecting our family members who could be high risk like in my case. We’re out there working all night in this crap.. it’s only a matter of time before the a hub gets it and starts spreading it. Ups doesn’t give a though.
So do the FedEx and pizza delivery drivers. Are they entitled to hazardous duty pay?
Yeah...Anyone working should be. It's a 'hazardous' situation, that's why everyone's closing. Those left, should by definition, be entitled. Pretty simple.
Make sure you still take your hour lunch
Giant Eagle team members to receive bonus pay for ‘continued dedication to guest service’
If the government is telling people to stay home to stop a pandemic then yes everyone else that’s forced to work should get it.. it’s that simple.
Don't forget open wounds.
Local 705 in Chicagoland just announced they are in negotiations with UPS to get us extra pay throughout this lockdown in Illinois.
It's funny how all the old boomers vehemently oppose us making a little extra money.
Does it make you feel tough or something? I don't get it.
We're going into a recession because of all these quarantines. Layoffs are coming and you want extra pay?
layoffs are coming. yes, i want extra pay before that happens. thank you very much.
