What is the best way to find out the most accurate info on when does family insurance begin? I asked my union rep and he wasn't sure. I need to ask him again, but i don't see him anymore because i was sent back to the hub.

I have also login to upsers.com and I found this number 1-800-ups-1508. I just found it so i haven't called.

When does my health/dental/vision insurance benefits start?

When will my kids get coverage?

Background info with my start dates

I started twilight in Aug '16 and TCD in sept '16. I was able to get my 30 punches in time so I locked in the max pay. During peak i signed the FT driver bid list and i made the cut.

So I'm told am a Full Time driver on paper. But i have been sent back to the hub until they need me. This happened in Jan and it is already March.

Where I'm at its a year from seniority for yourself and 18 months for your family. Call your union hall if you don't see your steward enough

If you are FT, they start immediately. PT, I think it is 6 months for yourself, don't remember if family gets it then, as well.

To get an absolute answer, call your local union hall, they will have the correct answer.

Does UPS fully pay for family insurance for part timers? or does the employee have to have some taken out of their check? I was told I would qualify 18 months after my seniority kicks in. Also, not sure if it varries by location, but I'm in Iowa.

They pay it all, you have only co-pays and deductions to pay.
