How many PVDs have bailed in your building?

Richard Harrow

Deplorable.
I love walking by and looking at all of the peak mode coward’s and regular runner’s trucks every morning and watching them struggle to get their doors closed. Then arriving behind mine and struggling to decide which huge gap of empty shelf space I will put my backpack in. The long walk through the empty wasteland that is the middle of the truck gives me time to ponder that. LMFAO

Same. Every morning the same runner walks by, looks in my brand new package car and says "oh! 120 stops today, must be nice" at which point I remind him that what he is looking at is the product of doing the right thing every day for nearly 20 years and that he should try it sometime lol.

I heard a rumor that you’re delivering UPS packages in your personal vehicle even though you no longer work here. I guess it’s just like the old days when you worked off the clock.

Dave, one should never let schooling -- which is mere training to become a worker bee or a manager of worker bees -- interfere with their education. I'd be happy to loan you a book from my personal library. Too busy driving a package car to get much reading done these days. Do you fancy philosophy, poetry, literary fiction, labor/political history, economics, anthropology?

Saw a postal worker (?) delivering out of a open bed pickup truck. She was sorting , looking for the one package for atleast 10 minutes.

Rural carriers are paid for whatever the route is estimated at. If it’s rated at 8 hours and takes them 5 then they come out ahead. If it takes them 10 then they’re losing money.

It’s a weird system but they can mosey if they want.

It's called flat rate and is a system commonly used in the automotive industry.

My job is fun
How are they handling the liability and insurance? If a PVD has an accident, is it his/her responsibility or UPS? Does it count as an accident for the center?
We had one wreck. Hit a electrical box in a subdivision. From what I was told their insurance is responsible but it does go as an accident in the center. It’s dumb
