I don't know how accurate those things are. Eighteen miles would convert into around four hours of just walking time alone.
Sounds like an easy explanation for those 2 hours over allowed I was.

Oh I see the problem. Your brisk pace was a 5 minute mile. Mines more like 12.

Depends on the device. If using one of the old school mechanical pedometers they are inaccurate. Any bump in the road can register as a step on those.

GPS devices can be misleading too. Entirely depends if the device is reading distances only when attached to you or also while traveling in the truck.

My galaxy s5 counts the bumps going down the road. I'm assuming most apps do. It's based off the accelerometer in the phone iirc.
