.....who has done little to nothing to ensure that they are prepared for the change, either through job training or higher education....
and what did the employers do? o yea nothing because when you outsource jobs and automate to make more money everything else including destroying the domestic economy is just an externality just like pollution from burning fossil fuels is an externality.

and what did government do? as a whole they probably made it worse with corporate managed trade deals like NAFTA, TPP, and hte WTO. and they gave a bunch of corporate welfare to companies who played one local government off another.

and o yea they jacked up college tuition so that when students graduate they are obedient debt slaves who arent gonna rock the boat too much because they have to make their next payment. this also disincentivized people to go to school, and made it hardest for the poor.

but when your government is owned and controlled by the capitalist class, what do you expect

Depends on your definition of "we." Globalization has pulled countless millions out of abject poverty in developing nations.

by coincidence this popped up in my feed. according to a fox news poll, bernie sanders a socialist is the most popular politician in the country, which goes against a 100 year trend. too bad people couldnt see past the media propaganda job during hte election. he mentions manufacturing here. manufacturing jobs in america have been replaced by low paying service sector jobs.

capitalism is a system which centralizes power into few hands, and those few hands funnel the money from the many workers into the few capitalists. capitalism is a system which runs at the benefit of a few capitalists at workers expense.

free market miracles?:

Most of this is in the form of mortgages.

Next, despite Canada's low rates, the debt service ratio of an average Canadian household is nearly 40% higher than when compared to the US.

And finally, the punchline: indexed home prices in Canada compared to the US. This needs to commentary.

Bernie Sander made over $1M usd selling two books to students .
you should check out the pro worker cooperatives legislation bernie has been recently proposing.

btw alot of critics of capitalism have profited off of it...but it depends how they did it. you can bet tom morello wasnt dictating to the other band members of rage against the machine of how he wanted the album to be. its a mix of cooperation and succumbing to capitalist elements and government.

Are you moving to N Korea then?
france or maybe italy or australia.

the fact is your are in favor of private economic centralization of power, but not government economic centralization of power. the difference between you and me is im skeptical and against both centralizations of power.

you should definitely get out of america while you can; what happens if something bad happens to one of your grandkids or heaven forbid yourself and you have to rely on USA's inadequate social safety net.

USA is not a nice country to be poor in, plus its a good idea to have the option of another passport in case you have formal totalitarianism which you are not far away from considering the NSA is already spying on you like crazy.

in canada my foot doctor is not covered by government, only by work insurance, my physio first 10 visits are 70% covered by government, then after by work insuance, dentist is not covered only by work insuance...im not sure about people who are poor or elderly. the welfare sickness phone line here is abysmal as well.
