Clathrate gun hypothesis - Wikipedia

They have some valid points, but to deny and cover up climate change like what was done in the past is ridiculously short sighted.

People will joke about there still being snow or what ever. I don’t think they realize climate change theory is all about the exponential heating of the world. The tempatures slowly rising due to greenhouse gases beginning to melt permafrost which releases more green house gases.. etc etc.

yes people who are shoveling tons of snow and freezing their jewels off seem to have a difficult time appreciating this higher level of understanding you have acquired.

While a change from 54 to 55.5 degrees friend isn't significant to an individual, on a global scale as an average, it's significant.

.

here is the part where you really have to over dramatize the argument to try to make it believable. and thus we have the climate alarmist who came up with the end of the world in 2016. So far the after life seems rather enjoyable.

You keep burning that straw man. no one here said the world would end on some date. it will just become progressively more inhospitable.....

pull you head out of the sand. Your side would actually get more support if they made a reasonable rational argument instead they keep screaming the sky is falling .

There's a difference. I'm not making predictions. The issues we see in the ocean are there now.

the point is still the same , its all about the messaging.
if you tell me we should keep the house clean because its a healthier way to live then that's a good message. If you tell me the house will blow up if we don't keep it clean i'm going to look at you like a nut. if you run around and tell me the world will come to an end tomorrow if we don't keep the house clean then I'm not only tuning you out , I'm getting as far away from you as possible.

nukes won't end life on this planet , it's the after effects of not being able to grow enough crops to feed ourselves .

I agree with all of that. Nothing is going to blow up, and I'm for all business activity.

I just think that for example, if we pull hydrocarbons out of the ground and burn them, part of the cost of doing that should be to recapture it and dispose of it into the ground, not toss it into the air.

If we do that, then by all means, burn all you want. But it's foolish to think we're not having an effect on climate.

I'm sure we are. I'm also old enough to remember when we had cities buried in smog and some seriously polluted rivers and streams. issues my generation addressed cleaned up
