I would have done it, and as soon as he wrote down that I passed, I would have made him pay me for it.
It's funny he even considered it as other drivers were around. I don't know what you call drivers who are just standing around after all the routes have left???

insurance wont cover him if he has an accident in his car, and he will have to fight ups if he gets in one. Seen it happen, union did nothing, one of those catch 22 things ups gets people on
If he ran into me and I saw him in browns or I saw he had a Diad and pkgs, my lawyer would go where the money is. His insurance would be secondary.

I still think it's funny, sorry.

An overworked grievance because you have to go up and down a ladder too many times. Again, sorry. That is funny.

Now I am really curious.

What article and section number is your Steward saying the company violated by overmanaging?
I don't remember, I thought he said 12 but I could be wrong. This was a week ago or so. All I know is that I'm working the jobs of two people at once, and nearing the last 10-15 mins, 2-3 more preloaders come to help finish and even sometimes supervisors. Just to avoid me getting deep into overtime and avoiding staffing any extra person. The belt I'm on is a wreck - it's only me on there. I total around 1200-1600 pieces and am "expected" to load all in 4.5 hours. While sorting also. Lol.

Hang in there. Don't speed up to try and finish both jobs. Work at your normal pace.

It's not uncommon to move people around to where the work is needed done now and then help at the end of the day.

If a sup is helping at the end of the day, you should be grieving that and be paid for the time he is working.

Don't expect anything to come out of that grievance. We can't force them to hire more people, but definitely file on the sup working.

Hopefully the staffing will improve, especially if both jobs aren't getting finished.
