No doubt, Obama was a triangulating incrementalist. We got sick of the dumb cowboy, so we elected the Professor.

We got sick of the Professor, so we elected dumpster-fire Trump.

But Trump just killed any hope for a two-state solution, at least for the foreseeable future.

Maybe you don't care.

But imagine a one state Israel, with half it's population under the gun and under curfew, and in some cases, literally unable to walk out their front door because the street is classified as 'Jews only'.

If that sounds familiar, it's what the Germans did to the Jews.

Powder-keg?

I don't have a dog in this fight, I just think it's slightly ironic that for all intents and purposes the Israeli government has segregated the Palestinians into 'confinement' camps.

Hamas :censored2: sucks, Netanyahoo sucks, there aren't any real or good actors in the entire situation.

But Trump did his thing, which was more about doing what other Presidents wouldn't do than it was about doing the right or correct thing.

He's pleased as punch, he did some TRUMP STUFF!

Whether or not that was a good idea, we'll see.

We should hold off on the Nobel, just saying.
Ok, :censored2:, I only made it through 1/2 of what you said and knew you were truly full of :censored2:. Do arabs serve in (government) office in Israel ?, I know the answer, you obviously don't. Are there Arab Israeli's that live in peace daily in Israel? You obviously don't have the answer to that either. In Israel, can there be a christian church, or muslim mosque? You have no truthful answer. The Jewish state is the most acceptable to any religion than any other country in the middle east and I would say in the entire world. Simple question, where did the Palestinian people come from, and when were they ever a nation, people or state. I'll wait for your response.

Obama kissed their buts for 8 years and no peace treaty. let trump beat them silly for 8 years and see if they beg for mercy.

The IDF is currently operating in the Gaza Strip. The explosions heard are related to this activity. Details to follow

Scroll back up and look at that cartoon. Israel developed their Iron Dome missile interception system because rockets were constantly being fired into their territory. Before they put up their border fence people were constantly being blown up in their markets and on buses. Hamas and Hezbollah aren't looking for peace. They're looking to destroy Israel and drive them into the sea. They're in an open air prison of their own making. Want freedom? Want to move about? Stop trying to kill Israelis, many of whom are Muslim too.

In all fairness, there are plenty of people in Gaza that don’t want Hamas in charge, but if they vote against them they get killed. After Hamas took power elections are about as free as Russia’s.

But is Israel supposed to let down it's guard down because there are good people in Gaza? When enough Palestinians are against Hamas things will change.

Nope, it’s just a mess all around. There are no good solutions or a side without fault. I always say the only way the Palestinians will get anywhere is through non-violence, and I don’t see them going that route anytime soon. No real sense in getting upset too much about either side killing or dying. I’m just saying the people aren’t all bad, it’s the ones in charge that are causing the harm.

Israeli Massacre of Palestinians in Gaza

They all serve to obscure what is actually going on in Gaza right now, which is that Israel has killed dozens of Palestinian protesters.

“Setting off clashes from outraged Palestinians,” Washington Post? Wouldn’t a more accurate version be “setting off the widespread killing of Palestinian protesters by Israeli soldiers”?

“43 were killed today in Gaza clashes,” CNN? You would not know from this headline that it is only Palestinians who have died today, or even that labelling such an asymmetric situation—protesters, the vast majority of whom are peaceful and unarmed, facing off against one of the world’s most advanced armies—as a “clash” between equal sides is an obfuscation.

The same goes for the BBC. “Die in clashes with Israel” is an interesting euphemism for “killed by Israeli soldiers.”

Finding it hard to feel sympathy for the Anti-Semites. Didn't care to read the article, I understand slanted "news" sources. It does sound like a step in the right direction nonetheless.

my american supervisor described israel's treatment of palestinians as genocide. ive never thought of it that way, and am not sure how accurate that it, but he could be right.

Or rather “we shot and killed an unarmed man ‘suspected’ of throwing a rock in his own village. The soldier who was hit with rock was not injured but the crime of disrespect is punishable by death (without trial). We want to advertise this fact on twitter.”

IDFVerified account @IDFSpokesperson
In response, the soldier who was hit by the rock fired towards the suspect, who was injured & given medical treatment at the scene. Despite this, the suspect died. No IDF troops were injured. The incident is being examined
