Hitler would say that your modern day Conservatives were closer to his ideals than ANY other political party. Hitler FORCED Christianity to be taught in schools, but not the kind of Christianity that would embrace all peoples, but rather, one form of Christianity (similiar to todays GOP).
Unfortunately, Hitlers Christianity was driven by the writings of Martin Luther ( and NO, moreluck , not martin luther king) Martin Luthers hatred for jews was well documented and Hitler incorporated his motivations on the jews to Martin Luthers writings.
This is what happens when government tries to force one religion down the throats of its people.
Hitler also didnt take the guns away from the people. This is another "FARCE" created by the right wing gun toters of this country. Guns were taken away from the people of germany when they signed a the Treaty of Versailles and the country had to DISARM. Guns were taken away from the populace long before Hitler took power in 1933. Hitler made it easier for germans to have guns after taking power.
Hitlers motivations as a Christian carry the same weight as republicans wanting to force christian prayer in schools.

The book "the jews and their lies" by Martin Luther describes the jews in the most terrible way. Martin Luther, a former Catholic Priest, Bishop and close confidant of the pope became disengaged from the catholic church because he hated the direction the catholic church was going. A bounty was placed on his head by the vatican.
Hitler, like todays republicans, wanted to FORCE religion on its peoples and in its schools. Hitler didnt believe in freedom of religion.
While distorted, Hitler uttered the same religious nonsense that todays republicans use.
Obama and the democratic party have nothing in common with Hitler and his style of government, and rather, the GOP or the party of "old white men" wants a similiar type of country, where white people rule the nation.

The misbelief that hitler was an atheist comes from todays christians who want to distance themselves from Hitler. Unfortunately, its not true.
Hitler wrote extensively about his "christianity" and his rationale for hating the jews. If you really knew anything about Hitler , you would know this. For centuries, catholics and the christians blamed the jews for killing Jesus, and in some parts, this still applies in religious circles.
Just because his government was communist government, it does not come close to liberal beliefs. All you see is the word socialist, and then associate it to what you consider a socialist in todays world.
I guarantee NONE of you understand Hitler or his mindset. Wiki, while a great quick reference site, hardly is the gospel for real explanations.
Read the link I posted with Martin Luthers writings, then ask yourself, if Adolph Hitler studied these writings as a child and as an adult, even though being born to catholic parents (which isnt disputed) can you see how they would influence such a man to do horrible things?
Martin Luther was a catholic, but became angry with the church because he did not like the direction of the church when it came to money and power. The early catholics hated the jews as well. It was Martin Luther who converted the bible from latin to english and german.

Later, in the USA, it was the KKK that took control of the protestant church and continued with Hitlers ideas about the jews, catholics and blacks..

If you do not like the facts --you make up your own--we have seen it many times before.
This is absolute hogwash. This belief is revisionist, at best, and outright deceptive, at it's worst. It is certainly not based on historical FACTS.
William L. Shirer in THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH noted that there was little or no socialism in "National Socialism".
National Socialism, under Hitler, was basically apartheid for non Aryans.
