Don't go off the rails now. It is separate bills that for some reason they wanted combined to pass their agendas. Both dem and pub so those items would've been in their respective bills regardless. Just focus on the stimulus part.

Foreign aid prevents wars and expands US influence. If we don’t spend money there someone else will, like China. You may be in favor of China dominating emerging markets but most rational people understand how it works.

I’m glad republicans are embracing Keynesian economics and demand side policy. I’m not surprised they are trying to do it on the cheap.

China doesn't give foreign aid, though. It sets up debt traps which gives them rights to other countries' resources when they default, which China will see to. If the US tried that, we would be smeared as imperialists. Which we are anyway.
