Where were Trump’s demands for $2,000 direct payments while the Republicans in Congress were trying to bring direct payment amounts down from what the Democrats wanted?

Dems were offered more, Pelosi refused.
What’s the largest direct payment Republicans were offering? Were they offering more than $2,000 per payment?

The only reason Trump is talking about $2,000 now is because he knows Congressional Republicans won’t go for it and he’ll forever be able to say that he in his imperial greatness tried to make it rain on Americans but the mean Congress said no.

You're still more concerned about the orange man than the people that actually wrote this bill thats selling out the country.

You can pretend to be able to read trump's mind but he has nothing to do with the people that wrote the bill who are the real problem.

Wake up dude.

You come on here pretending to be superior to everyone and making a joke about everything but you're being played like a giant :censored2:ing fiddle because you never learned to control your emotion and think logically.

You're the joke. How sad your situation is. How much are you charging trump to live in your head? Oh wait, you're not. Completely rent free

Strength through joy
only taxpayers and their dependents under 17 years old qualify

The new set of rules states that full payments will go to individuals who made $75,000 in adjusted gross income, as well as those listed as heads of household with up to $112,500, and it will also go to married couples who, combined, have made less than $150,000. As with the first check, all of this will be calculated using 2019 tax returns, meaning it doesn’t take into account the many people who have lost jobs and taken hits to income this year as a result of the pandemic.
Approximately 2.3 million people — like 17-and-over high school and college students — who are in the lowest income bracket have been rendered ineligible for the stimulus checks because they’re claimed as dependents on someone else’s taxes; however those people will not receive money for these dependents. In addition, approximately 13.5 million disabled adults who are dependents also don’t qualify to receive that aid. But, the caregivers of disabled adult dependents also won’t be receiving stimulus checks, as per the deal reached by politicians. Immigrants without social security numbers won’t receive the money, either, as was the case with the first round of checks.

What you're trying to say is, "IT'S RACIST!"

The only thing the America people were owed was the chance to vote out the dumbasses that just got done with this botched response, state and federal. Instead the voters are watching as republicans get into a bribery pissing contest with the left to see whose going to give away the most free :censored2: to the voters.

You don’t get into a bribery pissing contest with people pledging fealty to communism, that’s a fools errand. They can promise the r3tards free unicorns that :censored2: ice cream and the trusted new sources on america’s social media feed would tell them how wonderful the unicorn utopia will be. Those people don’t have to actually deliver a socialist utopia.

Can't get around the fact that Pelosi played politics before the election. You know Trump, he always fights back. Of course this is payback to Pelosi. But Dems did it to themselves by now accepting $600 payments while pushing for billions to be sent overseas.

Because one party wants cheap votes the other, cheap labor. Dems and Rinos actually hate the average heritage American.

Is thread makes so much sense because this is what Trump has been doing for the last 4 years but I also notice the usual maroon Democrats are staying away from this thread . What kind of response could the uneducated Democrats possibly come up with ??? :angry-very2::fightings::cigarsmoker:

This bill should have been split into about 15 different bills, to be debated and voted on separately.

If you want to argue for or against foreign aid for certain countries, get your vote on record along with the reasons for or against it.

I don’t understand why building more Smithsonian Museums can’t be placed in a different bill to be voted on that isn’t tied to direct payments to citizens for help during the pandemic?

Apparently both parties like to slip pet projects in while no one is watching.

And before anyone claims that Trump is above this..he was the one who wanted to veto the entire defense spending bill because he wanted section 230 repealed to make Twitter stop face checking his tweets.

There’s not much political incentive to small targeted bills. They need to be large and inclusive so votes can be bought. It’s harder to hang a tough vote on a politician if most of the legislature votes for a bill.

They make them large and complex so each side has something to complain about and something to brag about how they compromised.

It was super cool that republicans demanded an end to paid sick leave for covid victims.
