Isn’t this bill veto -proof with the majority it received?

If so, why didn’t Trump try to get involved earlier in the negotiations?

Just chiming in now to gain political capital from the people who want a check?

Bingo. He could've been working with Congress for weeks to get a bill passed with whatever number they could agree on - but chooses instead to ride in on the tail end to appear to be the "savior" and "man of the people." Every action this man takes is for show, nothing more. And why not? Look no further than this thread to see how many are convinced.

Wrong.
Republicans proposed a bill bigger than this months ago. Democraps blocked it because they thought it would benefit Republicans in the election.

Democraps are trash people.
Carry on.

I wonder if people will set aside their tds just long enough to realize they're being jipped 1400+ dollars.
First off trump signed a stimulus package in March that had the same kinds of pork as the current one. So he was ok with that pork back in March but not now? Lol. Sure. Democrats passed a 3 billion stimulus package that wanted to send out up to $6000 per family, had hazard pay for front line workers and extended the extra $600 for unemployment that’s money directly into the pockets if working Americans

At the time trump’s spokesperson said they didn’t support the bill. So the question becomes why didn’t trump push republicans to pass that bill? Why didn’t he tell Munchin who was negotiating the lastest stimulus on trump’s behalf what his priorities were? That trump speech shows the Republican Party doesn’t want to mail out checks, but democrats do, and that trump wasn’t telling his lead stimulus negotiator what he wanted in the stimulus.
