Better leave a little room in your 60 d.o.t. hours, we're gonna need em this year.
It doesn't matter what day the xmass falls on. 99.9 percent of the packages will be delivered on friday the 23. Air and the few house call packages that didn't get delivered on Friday will be attempt Sat most likely. The trailers that arrive Friday night will be delivered Monday the 26.
Pass but thanks anyway.
Is this a day that they can make a bottom seniority part time cover driver work?
absolutely, plan on it assuming you have hours available under dot limits.
Every attempt will be made to clean up on the 23rd but if not we will be working 24th.
Last time the 24th fell on saturday we ran everything, not just saturday air.
I plan on not being there. Been there done that. I hope to only have 8 hrs on friday for my 60 hrs
What year was that? Since we dont have snow to screw up traffic, we've never done that. If the6y force any of us then we'll demand an 8hr guarantee and clean cars the rest of the day.
Uh, aren't we off Monday since the holiday falls on Sunday?
Sweet, double time and a half if I have to work.
Cement, that should be the case. Same with New Years Day.
Yes, both weekends.
If a holiday falls on a Sunday we get Monday off.
UPS expects 6 percent rise in holiday shipments
My center manager hinted that if need be we might be working on the 24th.
That's if Mother Nature is cooperative. She hasn't been too friendly so far this year. Why should she have a change of heart for Christmas? I remember delivering on Saturdays in the past because of her.
HA HA, sounds like the supes may be on the road, but NO WAY would I!!!!!
Time and a half wouldn't sweeten the pot for you?
This year the 26th is a UPS holiday
There they go, making up their own rules--AGAIN!
