2007 Emission diesel engines- DPF system
2010 Emission diesel engines-DPF with SCR/DEF
Medium and heavy duty diesels.

Clean out the EGR Differential pressure sensor ports before they plug up. Its alot easier to keep them clean then to clean out a complete blockage.

If you see soot in the tailpipe of a truck with a DPF, the filter is cracked. Replace the filter.

The EBP sensor on the VTs are a regular maintenance item as well. The tube and sensor are continually packing up. Do the EGR cleaning with the fluid tool when you get a chance. Some picking and digging around the valve may be needed before you start, Just try to vacuum out as much of the carbon chunks, or they will fall into the intake valves and make it REALLY difficult to get it restarted.

Workhorse 6.0 gas engines, when you replace the throttle body/mass air flow pigtails, apparently they should be soldered even though the pigtails come with butte connectors or else they tend to continue running like crap afterwards because of higher resistance.

Remember to check the kingpin lock bot on the Workhorse W42(3?) chassis. They tend to loosen up and then you will need a new axle assy.

Haven't needed to yet, but I will remember that.

So you're saying the genuine Allison filters are bad? Is there a PSR on it?

Yup, the genuine Allison filter.

I found 1 PSR. The boss has a couple of emails with more examples from his road call conference calls.

They must be making them somewhere else or doing something different because our old automatic package cars never had these issues like the new 1's.

Guess they need a bulletin or step up the SIRD interval.
