No, UPS hub worker.
We are working memorial day.
Because UPS can get away with it.
UPS is contractually obligated to give us holiday pay, not a holiday.

No. We got forced 6th punches last year at times. We lost Black Friday. We just lost Memorial Day.
And Labor Day is on the chopping block next. UPS is fine with paying the time. They want the boxes moved.
I don't want holiday pay. I want a holiday.
But there is irony in a union shop having to work LABOR day.

I was watching the news yesterday and they said 22 veterans and active military are committing suicide a day. That is so sad. Someone said to me once that veterans feel as if we think they’re supposed to be the heroes and they think it’s not okay for them to ask for help. Even heroes need help sometimes. Here are some resources for veterans suffering from PTSD. If you need help, please don’t be one of the 22 today or ever. We need our heroes alive and as well as possible.
