Many moons ago, UPS spent millions on time and research on something that was called a stratified motor (I think) . It was going to run on any kind of fuel....
Until driverless vehicles are perfected and everyone is being driven around automatically, there will not be a robot walking up a driveway with a package.

That stratified charge engine was touted about how great it was going to be but those engines broke in no time. UPS quietly did away with them without any press releases.

I think they would have robots doing inside work first. They would be very slow in the beginning also. We're a long says away from robots doing everything but never say never.
