Do you think that the excessive overtime in your center in conjunction with the lack of proper staffing is retaliatory
Retaliatory? No they just really believe volume is going to drop and don’t want to hire people. we also had some pretty big winter storms that we couldn’t dig out from several weeks earlier in the year.

Yeah, almost like "these guys wanna file on this every instance we will just load em up"
It honestly makes sense financially from a manager perspective. Even at 4x penalty pay, let's say it takes roughly 9 hours of quadruple pay to even cover the health n wellness contribution of the next would be employee. And if only half the guys are filing on every instance, company comes out way ahead.

I'm on the excelerated list (shocking I know) and the company won't settle them for the 4x pay
Your business agent has to ask for an accelerated hearing. That doesn’t necessarily mean you will get quadruple pay, but they will have some decision to make and if it doesn’t work, they can come back and ask for it again. They just started paying quadruple pay here because they knew they were not able to manage the 9.5 issue.
