Lol, I once bought a S&W 4506 cuz he carried one for a season!

Its a good pistol. I have a 645

Wish I still had it. I got stupid some years back and decided I only needed one handgun. Traded in all mine, and got one new one.
Now I'm back up to the amount I had before, but I wish I had 'em all!

Back in the 80s, I worked for the FDIC (subcontractor) when they were closing all those banks down. I wore a suit and carried my 4506, but never had a cool rig like that. Never looked that good either...

4506 didn't come out until late 80's. You must have had one of the first ones.

I was thinking Miami Vice was a bit early for a 4506.

The S&W 645 was used in Miami Vice by the character Vice Detective Sonny Crockett in seasons 3 and 4 of the TV series.

I wonder if there are any caliber related statistics. Id wager 44 mag would be involved in .0000001 percent of any given event. Except shooting bad guys through the windshield of an early 70s 4 door.

Yup, they replaced Crocketts 645 with the 4506 for the last season. I'll have to look thru my receipts. Be interested to know if I got it in 88 or 89.

Yes, a 1911-A1. .45. They have come a long way over the years. Bottom gun is a WW2 issue Ithaca Gun company. My father had it chromed and he carried it as his duty weapon when he was a policeman.
