True story had a driver few years ago......his wife would meet him on route in a minivan ...take stops and deliver.....resi customer called in with a ? Of y she was getting her deliverys this way......guy is still employed

I can't figure out why he'd think thats a good idea.

They REALLY enforce the no working during lunch here. I mean almost militant about it. I was really kind of surprised when they told me. It's a good thing, but wow.

Never got the backstory, but I'm sure that's what it was.

When I started, they automatically docked you an hour for lunch no matter if you took it or didn't. Now they only dock you for what time you put in.

It was on paper with tick marks. Yes she would load for long periods and not mark anything. Shed load 20 stops and be like oh I think that was like 7.


Oh and by load I mean tossed into the truck.

I had that problem a few years ago with our dispatcher. He said why are you all ticked off about two 25 piece dump stops added to your route.

Zero that I know of. We are small enough we can still sweep small things under the rug.

I noticed that with a lot of the senior guys. When I was local sort sup I'd do the driver timecards. They'd all tell me how that's what happens. No guys, it doesn't. But they never believed me.

One night a guy was just sitting in the office on his break. I bet him a case of beer he wouldn't be docked. Really enjoyed those Blue Moons.
