Klein, you just gave a prime example of why your country is really screwed up.
You take taxpayers money, and use it to promote someone that could care less about you or your dang hwy. And now you want them to pay for it, after you GAVE it to them?
Shoulda done that BEFORE you gave it away.
But then again, your country is a fine example of not having any real national identity or language. Most of your country is
fill in the blank/Canadian.

We have 2 official languages, how many do you have ? Oh yeah, right - NONE !!!
And I was just joking about getting money for the highway, if you don't know it -most of all our provinces and cities/towns were named after the Kings, Queens, or Princesses.
Alberta for example after Princess Caroline Alberta.
BC (British Columbia) - capital Victoria (named after Queen Victoria).
Nova Scotia (for New Scotland)
Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The Royal Canadian Army (and Navy).
The Royal Mint (makes our coin money and pure maple leaf gold coins).
We have far more history then you think !
We even have some typical Canadian foods. like Canadian back bacon, Canadian Maple Syrup, yes, Poutine, too,
What do you have ? - American Cheese (that isn't even cheese)- it's made from cheese, but ain't cheese !
The best cheddar in the world is from Canada, so is the best Ice wine !
Canadian Rye Whiskey some argue, is the best.
No matter what - when you order rye - it's Canadian !
And Americans love our beer, too !
I could go on and on.... but it's time you do some googeling, find out for yourself, what makes this country so unique up north.

And some just come here because they have duo citizenship and can't afford US healthcare.
Google the city of Calgary (180 miles south where I live now, but lived in Calgary from 1987 - 2000).
1 out of 10 is American (over 100,000 in total). Vancouver, probably 1 out of 15.
And those are not snowbirds. Nope, they moved here !
Ordinary people, not the movie stars (even though that happened lately , too). Just ordinary working people, that seek a better life in the north.

One thing I know for a fact is that liberals never joke about getting money from someone else. Never. They even spend untold hours trying to figure out new ways to take money from others. Then they offer "free" things to everyone, paid for with money they took from others. So no, you were not joking. Its the real you that cant help but ooooze out the more you talk. Just like the "Schadenfreude" was a real gaff that gives a clear insight to what you really mean. (btw, your trying to explain it away was also incorrect. There are several posters here that know German much better than I, and the more you explain your screw up, the more you are incorrect. But then again, what's new.
How funny. Name everything in your country after people in other countries. Why, no one ever born in Canada worth anything? Why dont you have any identity of your own, why the need to adopt someone elses rulers? As far as history is concerned, I love history, and know a lot more than you might suspect.
I could go on and on as well. Maybe if you had less time to google, and more time for a real life, then maybe you would gather more knowledge than to think all we have to offer is american cheese.

America - that isn't even your's to keep (name wise), was named by Amerigos (A spanish explorer that named this continent, not the United States) !!!!
Liberals, eh ? Been a while since we had liberals in power. But, to you, every country is either liberal or a dictatorship, if it's outside the US, can't forget ofcourse communist!
The Capital of Canada is also respectively named native wise. Ottawa (which means "to trade" in native american language).
Ontario - same thing - meaning "beautiful water" for Lake Ontario and the Niagra Falls. (which means "strait" in native language, but the french Canadians interpeted it as Niagra instead of the original word : "Onguiaahra".
And we named it !
So, there ya go, you couldn't even name your own country (and is still somewhat disputable- since everyone in North or South America is basically an American !) !!

Because of our laws !
My scottish friend for example has Duo Citizenship (his mother was born here).
So, he moved here from Scotland, with his wife and 2 children.
Well, guess what ?
It took him more then 3 months to get his kids finally into the Canadian School system.
That's how long it took to get his kids Canadian duo citizenship.
Here, you cannot enter the school system without providing citizenship or landed immigrant status, period !
Working under the table, like they do in the US, is almost impossible here, too.
That's how liberal Canada is !
Secondly, if Mexicans want to come here, fine, first they need a visa to visit, secondly we are not rednecks here, and we won't hire without proper papers.
The fines are too huge, and it's not worth the hassle.
Thirdly, ofcourse, without a healthcare card, you can't see a doctor, and if an illegal wants to visit an ER without an emergency, .. they will be refused.
If they are really in need, they get fixed up, then deported. Simple as that.
And they have been deported, right off the hospital bed, trust me, and ask DS !

Canada still has to decide if they can stay or not.
Sofar, they are denying aslym. It's been going on for years.
The CDN governments claim is, that they weren't drafted... they volunteered, unlike Korea and Vietnam when they simpley got drafted.
But, appeals, 1 after the other, are keeping them here for now.

Back to the thread......our luck ran out....we got slammed today by a foot of snow. We worked, were given a 6pm curfew and were told to sheet any that we brought back as EC. I came back clean but am curious as to how many we ended up bringing back.
