Do you own some of those delivery trucks/routes like bbsam does? If not, do you deliver? Any idea what will happen to the owners and their assets??
They're contracted with Fedex Ground. According to the press release in 86 days FXG will cease to exist. I expect that at the last minute they'll have shoved in their faces another one of those unilaterally drafted, and implemented "negotiated" 1 year contracts.
Sure they'll haul air box but nobody ever said anything about hauling it profitably. They'll be lucky to get the same rate for air box that they're currently getting for ground and homie boxes. And expect to be severely penalized if they fail to get that air box delivered in time.

Ground line haul contractors can expect to be required to upsize taking on Express shuttle loads...in exchange for what?

Correction Fiscal year starts in June not July. In the meantime imagine you're a contractor and you've got all these trucks sitting there getting older and less valuable by the day, valued and experienced employees tired of the uncertainty and low pay ready to jump ship and you're standing there with your thumb inserted in a bodily orifice getting the mushroom treatment from corporate.

And say you're a long and dutifully serving Fedex Express employee. And let's say you're 49, kid or two in collage a mortgage that you still owe on for another decade. You're too young to retire but too old to go back and start over again and at an age that while it is officially illegal to discriminate against it...it will nevertheless limit your opportunities.

I guess current express employees can become handlers or go work at the airport to keep their senority
Wait a minute, that's an excellent point but if Fedex Express ceases to exist so does the recognition of any seniority rights.
Face it. Everything that existed in the past and counted on for the future is....simply gone.

What did they do with tnt employees? That would be a solid indication

They may not but the email sent out clearly states the contractors aren't going anywhere.
It didn't clearly state that. It stated they will continue to use employees and contractors. How that plays out wasn't specific in the email. My guess would be most if not all dense urban areas would go full employees and rural areas would go to contractors.
