Biden has decided that People will drive EVs.
However Evs sales are falling because People don't like them.

But oil industry representatives called on Congress to block the standards and Republicans condemned the changes as removing choice from consumers.

More Leaf owners with battery problems say Nissan has abandoned them | CBC News

March 20, 2024

"A story CBC published last week about a Juno-winning musician's "bricked" Nissan Leaf all-electric vehicle has generated a huge response.

People from across Canada and beyond shared similar stories about the breakdown of the popular EV model, and Nissan's inability or unwillingness to repair it.

That has prompted some to consider legal action.

Last week, Brian Sanderson described how his 2016 Leaf died five times last year. The dealer eventually towed the car back to his driveway in western Quebec, where it remains.

Sanderson spent nearly $10,000 on repairs last year, but the battery was never replaced because Nissan cannot provide a new one."

"Last December and again this month, a spokesperson for Nissan told CBC the company is "working diligently on a compatible replacement battery for the 30kW-h Lithium Ion Battery," which is no longer in production."

If they somehow made that a law it would most likely cause businesses to make everyone part-time. And accelerate the replacing of employees with machines/robots/A.I.
32 hours a week is part time is it not?

america has a debt problem too.

its been too long since the work week has last been reduced. we live in the future. we should have shorter work weeks now and improved standards of living. but real wages have not risen since 1973 peak.

Officially in the U.S. fulltime is 30 or more hours. How do you see America's debt problem being solved by working less hours?

the govt should write down the debts like they did for wall st after 2008.

student debts, housing debts, medical debts

the history of hte past 5000 years is debts expanding faster than an economy's ability to repay.
