Only 5% of next car purchasers expect to buy all electric cars-Road and Track.

You haven't done anything to save the environment.....matter of fact maybe even more damage....everything considered.

Wanna save the environment? Kill all humans. Yourself included. Me too. But first, deactivate and clean up all the nuclear reactors......disable dams and all infrastructure....put it all the way back to natural.......get to it.
The electricity used to power my car is created by HydroQuebec.

And yet, sales have doubled every year for a decade, will double against next year to 2 million vehicles, and used Teslas cost the exact same as a new one, because demand is off the charts.

The market has spoken, and it doesn't care about those problems.
How many vehicles is the government buying ?

Agreed. Not everyone has a garage they can park their car in and charge when you get home. For many charging would require extra time and inconvenience.
Yes, and I wasn't talking to those people.

Apartment-dwellers with long commutes and no charging at the office would find it very inconvenient.

My small condo building has no garages and no place outside for charging stations, nor are there any within my town's limits.
( except for individuals who have installed their own garage charging stations )
Also the regional power grid is max out currently with no plans to increase it.
So I find this subject moot.

I owned an EV for over a year without even knowing how to use or pay at a public charger. There are lots of folks like that.

What about the mandates that some states have decreed.
Total purchases are incredibly small, and large fleets take a very long time to replace. It's such a small number it doesn't even matter. And they're not buying Teslas.

Tesla is selling a million vehicles a year at premium prices, and still doubling it every year, because they're simply freaking awesome cars. People just don't want to acknowledge it.

Exactly my point.

They can buy BMW or Mercedes or Porsche. And they buy Tesla instead.

For 50-80k, you can have a 3 second time 0-60. You used to have to buy an Italian supercar to do that. They don't compete against Toyota or Ford. They compete against luxury brands.

There is no way that I would have even thought about buying an EV at my former condo complex----no garages or public charging stations. I am fortunate to have both a charging station in my garage and public charging stations in front of our leasing office----both are Level 2.

Tesla's? None but they are buying lower end EV's. Schools and public transportation are slowly adding EV buses.
