China has 40,000 miles of High Speed Rail. America has ZERO. We are a joke when it comes to getting anywhere fast. My last trip to Texas by the time I left my house-- flew out of my local airport (missed the connecting flight to Dallas due to delays at local airport) it was 7 hours to go 125 miles. What a joke. Even longer getting home.
yea its really interesting. i assume big oil and maybe automakers have a huge influence over the system.

Tesla was supposed to start selling convertors so that non-Tesla EV car owners could start using their fast chargers. Their network is much more advanced than any other.

I shouldn't have to educate you all. Rail requires density. That's like me saying gravity exists. That's how obvious and undisputed that fact is.

If Americans own land and yards, rail will never be big here. That's why you only see it successful inside major metros. Deal with it.

Isn't that a knock against wind power more than EVs?

Tesla owners were chilling while nobody had gas earlier last year.
How's that chilling going in Cali? More reasons to avoid a transition for now.

Again, that's a knock against the grid or a company, not EVs. There's not a lot of bragging room either way about utility in bad times. With solar panels, I'd still have a full fuel tank 20 years into the apocalypse. It's different for each person and location.

I'm just entertained that people think phrases like "coal powered" or cartoons mocking wind energy are relevant or persuasive. They're not.

Their future is directly tied to power grids and current grids cant sustain ev use. Imagine being a normal family without solar panels and a power wall in the garage

The amazing thing about current grids is that they are current grids. And the amazing thing about future grids is that they are future grids. If you take the current grid and add money, it becomes the future grid. Amazing!

A family with no on-site power generation would be as helpless as people with gas cars. Good point! Lol.
