Oregon Counties Want to Join Idaho

Old Man Jingles

Rat out of a cage
You’re complaining that the bulk of the taxes collected from the bulk of the population gets spent on the bulk of the population? You think rednecks in the sticks should get to take the wealth out of the cities? How redistributionist of you.
Rednecks are complaining they don’t get to spend other people’s money on themselves. They want to steal the money from the urban tax base for their own gain. They should pull themselves up by their bootstraps and stop asking for handouts.
Obviously you are a bigot!
A bigot is a closet racist.
Of course, that doesn’t surprise anyone.

Poor republicans, they can’t win elections with their unpopular ideas. I’m not sure why you think a minority viewpoint should control the government. Maybe if republicans stopped embracing white nationalism they’d have a better shot at the ballot box.
Never said they should control Oregon. I'm saying they should be allowed to go their own way. Birds of a feather and all that. Can hardly wait to see how you twist this.

The individuals are free to do what they want. Do you really not understand that the views of people in the sticks aren’t monolithic? There are plenty of liberals out there too that are happy to be in Oregon. Why should some vocal rednecks be able to impose their views on them?

Far and away more conservatives there. Liberalism is primarily an urban affliction.

People aren't allowed to have an opinion about things like state borders. That's the democrats' idea of "democracy". What they call threats to democracy are really just threats to the totalitarian control of the defunct democratic party, now more correctly identified as the Totalitarian Oligarchical Party. They will do anything to stay on TOP, anything.
so will republicans

So you're saying they should pay taxes but not expect anything in return like better roads, etc? People in these kind of counties tend to be self sufficient and don't believe in paying for every liberal program dreamt up to keep people dependent. Which is why they are fed up with Oregon's liberal government and want to join up with a state that reflects their values.
what make you think it will be different as Idaho residents? You are clueless

I'm not the one who came up with this. Talk to the people who believe they'd be better off with Idaho. I'm only defending their choosing to do so if they want through a vote.

We will see who can’t win elections come 2022.

its more than a simple vote. Both States would have to agree followed by an act of congress.

Sure, but it'll start with it on a ballot before going forward. They have to be certain the majority in the state wants it to happen. If not it's dead on arrival.

No doubt republicans are trying to change the rules to ensure victory. They can’t win with ideas so they need to stop people from voting. They’ll gerrymander and prevent minorities from voting. It’ll work for a bit, but more disasters of Republican governance like Texas’ power grid should seal their fate soon enough.

Yeah, every time there's a red wave it's because Republicans change the rules. You want to know what really happens? Democrats spend a lot trying out theories and social engineering. People soon realize this does more harm than good and they vote in Republicans. The Republicans push hard work and self reliance and soon people start longing for an easier path which Democrats say they'll provide. And the circle is complete and back to square one. You're welcome.

Just curious.

Can you go to your profile and tell me how many "creatives" you've received?

Republicans have introduced hundreds of voter suppression bills after their losses in 2020. It’s what they do. They don’t win with ideas, they win by rigging the game. That’s how they hold power while receiving fewer votes.

Wait till the electoral college gets dumped. They'll never "win" another national election.
