Yeah. Dano should be gone for releasing confidential 2-5 policy over social media.
Nah, Dano was actually useful for a change. Rare, but it does happen.

Props to Dano.

Right. You've never heard of an employee in the crosshairs. If they want you gone, you're gone. It's very easy for management to set someone up and then "discover" a 2-5 violation.

In which case there's no need to invoke a 45 day bump option that still doesn't separate you from your job.

The acceptable conduct policy (or at least older, possibly outdated revisions of it) is a matter of public record per many lawsuits where a copy of the policy was an exhibit. You can find it online.

Lose your route. Then let you go ASAP. Clear?
Well, no. If your position is eliminated, you're considered 'displaced' and have 90 days to find a new position. When the allotted time expires and you're still without a permanent position, the company terminates employment.

My point is that what is on paper and what happens in the real world are 2 different things.

social media

noun plural but singular or plural in construction

:forms of electronic communication (as Web sites for social networking and microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content (as videos)

Social media allows for the free exchange of ideas and ideals among all users regardless of background.

The level of censorship on this forum, which has a very limited audience, precludes it from social media status.

I guess you didn't know all forms of social media have some sort or level of censorship.

This forum is open to public dissemination. It is not an invite, members can only see forum. This forum is closer to social media than not.

Social media is whatever they want it to be, which is (in this specific case) anything related to the internet. Like most things, it is whatever suits their interests in a given situation.

It doesn't really matter what you call it. The bottom line is that your assignment/job is to go to social media sites, message boards, employee forums etc. and spread the Gospel of FedEx.

So the verdict is in. The route was put up for bid and has been give away to really skillful courier. The station, for the most part, was watching the outcome and, with the SFA around the corner, couriers talked about the problem with favoritism given to this courier year after year. Do you have a courier who looks to do as little as humanly possible all the time? A courier who says there's no way they can help you with P2 but is found under a shade tree, in the late afternoon, taking a second 1 hour lunch of the day? A courier who seeks out the engineer and complains about having to drive to X or Y stop and that the delivery should go to Z courier? A courier who complains to management everyday about anything that may cause a drop or two of sweat? I know we talk about Purple taking from its employees but this person goes out of the way to do so little that Purple has to payout the 7 hour guarantee pay. Free money for Feeding the dogs on the route and chatting 20 minutes per stop. Obscene is pure the laziness. Most couriers knockout about 60 p2 a day. This courier could "Only" complete 50 per day. The new courier is doing 70 to 75 per day and is laughing everyday because the route is so easy.
Old courier showed up, saying nothing to the person who took the route. As if the shoe was on the other foot.. Old courier tried to take over the open route and failed drastically. When it was all said and done, old courier went out with about 15 p2 and still needed help with pickups. A really nice courier felt bad and asked if old courier wanted to take his route because it is easier....easier not easy lol. So Purple paid old courier to sit in the passenger seat all day and watch how the nice courier ran the route. When the day was over, old courier didn't look happy and hasn't showed up to work for 3 days time. Some courier even made comments wondering how management offer up two different routes without putting them up for bid? Lets all hope a dispatch or CSA position opens soon because old courier needs a job and old courier never really was a true courier.
