Of course it will be dirty I told them but told to be honest with them and even if requested help and went to rehab simple to the point. So I can completely lose hope in a second chance but will continue to stay clean. Happy now

Thanks for your honesty.
Let the process run it's course.
That's all you can do.

Dirty for what? Weed? Pain meds? Do you have a script?

It doesn't matter at this point what it was.

Plus, it takes A LOT for a police officer to pull a UPS truck over.
That must have been one crazy swerve to grab that much attention and require him to put his lights on.

Like I said doesn't matter bottom line it's going to be dirty immediate termination. Rehab not an option for a fail on reasonable suspicion. I've researched and researched. I'm just at peace with it now

I see two issues here.

1. A dirty drug test. In which I've seen people go to rehab, and some come back to work.

2. A fitness for duty test. In which the person was under the influence while on duty. Have never seen anyone come back after that. But I don't know if they fought it either.

Did you have a fitness for duty test that day?

So you were impaired? Cause I don't think just a positive drug test is a fire able offense. I mean you can test positive for drugs and not be impaired.

If he wasn't on the clock a positive hit is bad but he might keep his job. If he was driving a UPS vehicle at the time he is probably history.

Now you know the correct answer.

You should go to rehab anyway.

I'm a former local president that represented ups workers and have nearly 35 years in ups operations.I believe ups had reasonable cause to test you based on police officer statement that you seemed under the influence. If your test comes back that you were under the influence of drugs you better have a prescription for it.If you were under the influence of alcohol your done. If anyone is using drugs or alcohol and has a problem the time to get help is NOW not after you get caught.

But I'm too smart and invincible to get caught.

I can't really say I guess, in almost 30 years in a fairly big center I can't remember ever seeing it happen.

If I was representing you and you blew a positive but under the legal limit positive alcohol test. I would make argument you did not drink on the job and this was a result of drinking the night before. If I thought you were drinking on the job I wouldn't have much sympathy for you but I still have a duty to represent you.

Why would I be happy that a man who has a $100k a year job would risk it all and the well being and security of his children for a buzz? And at work no less....SMH.

Not to mention he had to be pretty lit up for a cop to pull over a ups truck for swerving in the morning.......it must have been really bad and dangerous......which I would assume is not prime time for drug and alcohol stops.it must have been that obvious he was under the influence

We lost a preloader who passed away due to an overdose but other than that drug abuse is not a big deal here.
We had a preloaded murder his best friend (another preloaded) over a drug deal. It took 3 days for the authorities to escort him out of the building.
