George Papadopoulos gets 14 days in prison - CNNPolitics

I laughed my ass off literally, when I saw "Sentenced to 14 days in prison", that's what our millions in tax dollars have gone to. Years of investigating and so far all we have is that Trump likes to stick fake t*ttied pornstars and this bald dweeb gets two weeks in prison. Who gets sent to prison for 14 days? That's a stay in county lockup at best! The huge Russian collusion probe and the best they can do is 14 days. Misdemeanor crimes get at least up to 80! But yet they say he was treasonous ha. If they had something good because he talked he wouldn't have gotten time, and if he didn't talk they would have made sure he went away for years. Thoughts? I'm sure Comrade @rickyb has some words.

Mmm, Mombasa!
Oh honey, we’re just getting started...
  • May 19, 1973: Independent special prosecutor Archibald Cox appointed to oversee investigation into possible presidential impropriety.
  • June 3, 1973: John Dean tells Watergate investigators that he has discussed the cover-up with Nixon at least 35 times.
  • July 13, 1973: Alexander Butterfield, former presidential appointments secretary, reveals that all conversations and telephone calls in Nixon's office have been taped since 1971.
  • July 18, 1973: Nixon orders White House taping systems disconnected.
  • July 23, 1973: Nixon refuses to turn over presidential tapes to Senate Watergate Committee or the special prosecutor.
  • Vice President replaced:
  • October 20, 1973: "Saturday Night Massacre" - Nixon orders Elliot Richardson and Ruckelshaus to fire special prosecutor Cox. They both refuse to comply and resign. Robert Bork considers resigning but carries out the order.
  • November 1, 1973: Leon Jaworski is appointed new special prosecutor.
  • November 17, 1973: Nixon delivers "I am not a crook" speech at a televised press conference at Disney World (Florida).
    • November 27, 1973: the Senate votes 92 to 3 to confirm Ford as Vice President.
    • December 6, 1973: the House votes 387 to 35 to confirm Ford as Vice President, and he takes the oath of office an hour after the vote.
All of that happened within ONE YEAR. its been over two and this is all they have managed to pull out of their hat.

  • May 9, 1974: Impeachment hearings begin before the House Judiciary Committee.
  • June 15, 1974: Woodward and Bernstein's book All the President's Men is published by Simon & Schuster (ISBN 0-671-21781-X).

  • August 8, 1974: Nixon delivers his resignation speech in front of a nationally televised audience.
  • August 9, 1974: Nixon resigns from office. Gerald Ford becomes president.

the judge recognized that papadapolous was a wanna be who overstated his importance to the campaign.

I was thinking of national lampoons vegas vacation when i heard the sentence. i was thinking of the kid playing a mobster papageorgio?
and what if he had just happened to fake being a mobster in the middle of an FBI sting in real life.

thats this guy. Mueller squeezed his balls hoping papadap had something but in the end it was overdone. thats two judges now who have commented on the excesses of Muellers investigation.

ill get back to you on that.

my thoughts without reading any articles on it is trump got elected legitimately. not saying i like the election system. the idea that trump couldnt have gotten elected without russians is ridiculous. this was americas version of brexit, or all the other crazy parties that have been coming to power in other countries.

is trump corrupt? o yea. will he get in trouble for other things? maybe. they are all corrupt. if trump is president or not doesnt matter for the long term viability of america. the things that are affecting america are bigger than which corrupt guy is in the white house.

Agnew wasn't related to Watergate. What about Manafort, Gates, Flynn, and the others?

Manafort and gates are tax cases that were declined for prosecution by the Obama justice department .
guess mueller needed a few wins.

Flynn and papadapalous got caught up in the perjury trap. Flynns after initially being deemed as not a lie. Guess muller needed a win.

don't forget all those Russians that will never stand trial and therefore are automatically totaled as wins for muller.

big waste of a special prosecuter but it gives the snowflakes something to brag about.

i laughed out loud when i saw the sentence

even the hardcore trump-haters were commenting on how ridiculous this makes mueller looks

the democrats are working OVERTIME to lose these midterms:
1. mob rule in a senate hearing
2. joke of a conviction
3. obvious grandstanding from Jersey Obama
4. NYT editorial proving Trumps claim about a deep state have at least some truth to them
5. primary wins going to literal communists

This was in response to BrownArmy's tldr post. His quote was dropped, Army, this is for you.
Facts often take many lines of print.
Ignorance continues to be bliss in your case, and seems to be your Mo. Exceptional effort on your part to not educate yourself.
Your next silliness is anxiously awaited. Amazing.

Judge Moss said he gave Papadopoulos 14 days because he researched how many defendants with this type of charge resulted in prison time -- and it was fewer than half.

Was he also cooperating to the point of 'wearing a wire' for months?

Isn't the 'professor' Papadopoulis was in contact with no longer 'doing so well'?

In bed with the mob, the lot of them.

Let's compare.
1. Screaming liar during state of Union.
2. How many Benghazi hearings resulting in nothing?
3. Chris Christie, something about a bridge.... I dunno I'm not a Yankee so didn't follow it.
4. Alex Jones tin foil hat nonsense.
5. Republican president backing a child molester for political office.

Sad fact is this is simply the state of affairs in the American circus.

the difference is conservatives aren’t hiding who they really are, it’s all out in the open, everyone knows it

a huge chunk of liberals are either straight up communist sympathizers or are neoliberal itching to invade something anything

normal people, especially these days, hate un-authenticity, and that’s the democrats favorite flavor

Completely disagree.

Republicans pretend to be small government conservatives. Everything they do proves the opposite. We have two parties, and they are both liberal, it's just that they prioritize different liberal issues.

If people stopped viewing politics as a binary choice we'd be a lot better off.
