Part time to full time vacation question

    If you transition to full time position (a 22.3 job not package car driver if it matters) with unused vacation you accrued as a part timer what happens? Do you immediately get paid for the unused part time vacation and start accruing vacation as a full timer?

    My PT vacation got paid when it was schedule for but not allowed to take off. My 1st year FT vac got paid out when I made 1 year FT seniority.

    Expect to take vacation in 2017

    So you accrue vacation as you go in your region? We don't get it until the following year.

    What about sick days? Do those get transferred over or do they get cashed out?

    When I went from pt to ft they paid me out on all my vacation and option 3 days before I started ft. I was still allowed to take them just had already been paid.

    I just transferred my vacation when I went FT. Never lost the weeks, though I did get paid at my PT rate. Which didn't matter anyway since I was already top rate.
