Pay progression

While I don't know all of the correct contract terminology and jargon regarding our new contract nor do I know all of the specific details, I do know that we PTers are supposed to be jumping up to $13 or so on August 1st, but how is it fair for a person that has been there for 3 months to instantly begin earning as much as someone who has been there for, hypothetically, 3 years ? It's not and I believe that there still be some type of pay discrepancy dependent upon years worked.. just my feelings, you're entitled to feel however you may..

I too don't think the pay for current part timers is quite finished. Just gotta be patient until we get a contract view.
