Thanks for reasut
No worries there. You get paid from your retirement date... regardless.

Congrats. I retired last year. It's everything I hoped it would be.

Well.... minus the strippers and cocaine.

Thanks for reassuring me on that. You never led me the wrong way over the years.. Turns out I only had the central states one done. I called the number and they walked me through the online one for the UPS teamsters fund. I have to upload wife's license and another notarized form tomorrow and wait for approval.

5 years guaranteed payments from fund. If you pass away after 5 years and did not take the survivor benefit option, there will be no more payments.

If you pass away before 5 years, your spouse will receive payments until a total of 60 payments have been made.

UPS/IBT Full-Time Employee Pension Plan

Lifetime with Limited Surviving Spouse Option Annuity

The Lifetime with Limited Surviving Spouse Option Annuity pays you a monthly benefit for your lifetime. Additionally, the Plan will pay a limited survivor benefit if you satisfy one of the criteria listed below:

You have completed at least 20 years of Service Pension Credit
You have completed at least 30 years of Combined Service Credit, or
You are at least age 50 and have completed at least 20 years of Combined Service Credit.

If you are eligible for a limited survivor benefit as described above and you:

Are married at the time of your death, and
Have not received the equivalent of 60 payments,

your spouse will continue to receive monthly payments at the time of your death until a combined total of 60 payments have been made to you and your spouse. If you have already received a total of 60 payments, no payments will be made to your surviving spouse.
