the people who are paying but not using pay for those that use it. Furthermore if you want more coverage you should have to pay for that coverage
That's what insurance is. Many people pay in, some have their expenses paid and the insurer keeps the rest as profit. It's a fundamentally stupid argument to complain that the healthy pay for the sick. That's how it works. Be happy if you never need to use your health insurance, it's much better than the alternative. Everyday I don't die I loose my bet with my life insurance, I'm ok with that.

Says the man that had his union paying for his. I buy mine on the individual
market and this bill is going to make that more expensive.

The union has no money of its own. It is the members sharing costs.

Private insurance plans like the Teamsters were ineligible for Obamacare subsidies also.

You are just getting hit with sticker shock which you would have soon seen anyway with Obamacare when the full costs started to kick in. Conveniently timed to happen after Obama left office.

I make too much to qualify for subsidies under the ACA, but keep making up arguments.

Do you need an air compressor or tire gauge

your not understanding, that is why you design plans, if the person in the designed plan isn't using it, it will pay for those who do.

designed plans, open the market up, expand health saving accounts, pull the pre existing people into other market

So, basically the way it was before the ACA, because that was working great lol.
insurance companies didn't compete over state lines and there were no tax credits. The plans that people got designed for them worked and they had their own doctors. Which is a major complaint of the aca, losing their plan and doctor

they also said they want big huge industry health plans like unions get. Small businesses will be able to group up.

we don't know because it hasn't been done

There's nothing in the ACA that prohibits insurers from selling across state lines...it hasn't taken off because it mostly wouldn't work.

Insurers can do it right now. That they haven't should tell you something.

Obamacare technically allowed it but the later added regulations and restrictions made it effectively impossible.
