$18.75/hr to start. And yes a lot of PTers make more then FT drivers.I also doubt that loaders make more than the drivers around here who only make about $20 an hour to start
See previous comment!
No, at the air hub where I work, you are hired as a PT loader, temp. Then you can get hired perm as a PT loader. Then you go up to PT sup, then the next step is FT Sup. If I am lower than loaders, they must be that I make 50% more an hour than they do now.
Answer these questions then tell me that is a promotion:
1. How much is your medical insurance as a pt sup?
1b. How much would your insurance cost as a loader?
2. What is happening to your pension in managment?
2b. Who still has pensions as i am writing this?
3. How many times can you call out or be late before you are fired for good
3b. How many times can a loader get fired and get their job back?
4. Who is protected by a contract?
4b. Who is protected by a contract?
5. What is your earning potential as pt sup
5b. What is your earning potential as a driver which would subsequently come as a loader then repeat questions 1-4 again...
So i ask you again, do you really think that a pt sup is a promotion?
Screw school, learn to backstab, make deals, and kiss arse of those above you. You will go far!I recently was bumped up to PT Supervisor and I have been in school working on my degree, but I am not interested in what I am doing.
If I quit school, would I get fired, since I am no longer union protected, or will I just get demoted?
I also doubt that loaders make more than the drivers around here who only make about $20 an hour to start
There's a pre-loader in my building with 37 years....
On half time I am paid almost as much as a new FT driver. With 1% of the stress. On time and a half I'm paid about as much as a starter driver... ouch.
As a driver, I don't stress hardly at all anymore. Once qualified it's just one stop at a time.On half time I am paid almost as much as a new FT driver. With 1% of the stress.
You can still load all you want but you'll be a pt Sup.You would still be a supervisor. You can never be a loader again
But he won't be a loader. I never said he wouldn't load again. You can still load all you want but you'll be a pt Sup.
FixedSo I would still be a supervisor, or would they PROMOTE me back to loader?
