Oh yeah, a tip. Most importantly is don't let management bully you. You have a strong union there to protect you from them. You have browncafe as a resource which should be required reading for all new union hires! You're going to be exhausted, sore and burnt out but do what you can to make book (30 days?), then realize you are in the union and you don't need to put up with their bull**** numbers game, "FASTER FASTER FASTER". Get a union book and memorize it. Article 37 will be your best friend when it comes to protecting yourself from their harassment when it starts (and it almost always does). Their job is to get as much out of you as you will give and it is up to you to decide how much that is and give them no more or you will get caught in a viscous cycle. Supervisors are under a lot of pressure to run a good area and won't have a problem working you into the ground as they put their morals to the side. You will see some interesting things and pay attention to just how poor people can treat others to make themselves look good and not get yelled at themselves.
