Sad news.


I'm going to see Merle and Willie in about a month. I hope they are both healthy and doing well then.

Sonny is a 4th cousin of mine.
He grew up in Hackleburg, Al where I spent many a month with my grandmother.
He built his mother a very nice house sitting up on a hill.
I had not seen him in some 40 years or so.

I've seen them both. Merle puts on a good show but going to a Willie Nelson concert is like watching paint dry. I love Nelsons music but he's not the best showman. Maybe I just caught him on an off night.
