You have never come across what? The ascension?
No.... that certain conservative/evangelical/ reformed types stop at the ascension.....

on purpose? forget to add it? think that it didn't happen? just wondering why you responded with that? and your thoughts.

Or did you wonder why I simply neglected it on that post?

There are a lot of extras that go into being a Christian that wasn't mentioned too...... I believe He ascended into heaven. the bible teaches it that way. Does it make it less Christian of a response to not add that to it for the point I was making?

Yes. I believe it makes it an incomplete Christian response.

It was of tantamount importance for Him to ascend, no?

Well, some people here don’t believe much of the Bible is accurate so I don’t know why they would believe this part. Just a bunch of lying humans with their own interpretations according to some.

I was so confused. I thought he was speaking of people he knew who was teaching that the ascension didn't occur. Turns out it was simply that I failed to say that in my post also. Ultimately he is correct in what it turned out to be, but it took me a bit to put it all together.

I’m not certain what he’s saying because I have decided it would be best to not speak with him on these issues. Nice enough guy, but it’s ridiculous for him to just pick and choose which parts of the Bible he wants to believe in my opinion. I don’t really believe the back-and-forth between him and others really adds anything helpful at this point.

If I believed as little of the Bible was true as him, I certainly wouldn’t believe in any kind of ascension. I would discount the whole book at that point.

I agree with much that is in the Bible. Not a little, just not everything. Another obtuse reply.

Luckily for us you've got it all figured out as to which parts are good to follow and which parts must be ignored because unlike you, speaking directly to God, the writers were just men. Who were they to tell us anything? Obtuse enough for you?
